Materials
The Stacked Leather Handle
Comprised of a number of compressed leather discs, the stacked leather handle creates a beautiful element of distinction as well as it acts as a tried and true grip that keeps its warm touch in cold weather and doesn’t lose its grip in the rain.
The Blade
The Sportsman uses the Swedish steel AEB-L from Uddeholm at 61-62 HRC. It is a very well-designed knife steel, balancing high hardness with the absolute highest toughness of any stainless steel out there.
This allows a thin precisely ground edge with great cutting ability.
The Leather Sheath
We make the sheaths as well as the handles using vegetable tanned leather from the old Swedish Tärnsjö Garveri. A local tannery known for making the highest quality leather for fashion and furniture industry, still using the same environmentally friendly process of vegetable tanning since 1873.
